Chemical and biological processes as they apply to decomposition in landfills; methane genereation and collection; post-closure management; the application of life-cycle analysis to solid waste management.

• Characterization and Quantification of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in landfill gas and estimate of emissions from US Landfills.
• Development of Test Methods to Characterize Heat Production from Special Wastes Disposed in Landfills.
