IWWG - International Waste Working Group is a non-profit association that aims to provide a forum to encourage economic and ecological waste management world-wide and to promote scientific advancement in the field
She teaches for the courses of Energy and Environment and Sustainable Management of Water and Waste. She has been implementing research and education in the area of environmental and industrial engineering since the completion of her PhD in 2001 in Energy at the University of Florence (IT).

Main research interest
Energy recovery from waste and biomass by thermal and biological processes, waste management, CO2 capture, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and LCA-oriented. Since 2018 she is one of the associated editors of Waste Management Journal.
