Main research interest

Waste characterisation. Valorization of organic waste through biochemical processes in a waste biorefinery context (fermentation, anaerobic digestion, aerobic treatments) aimed at recovering materials (e.g. organic acids, biopolymers etc.) and energy (hydrogen, methane). Recovery of resources from inorganic waste through physico-chemical processes (e.g. leaching etc.).
