Why I joined IWWG
Together with six international colleagues Prof. Cossu and myself founded in 2002 the International Waste Working Group. We wanted to establish a new Solid Waste Association with a more scientific orientation, to give waste scientists and students but also practicioners a voice, a home. Our idea was from the beginning to establish a lean organisation that has a more personal character and that represents a broad picture of WM including social and cultural aspects; e.g. IWWG Art Gallery. I invite scientists and practitioners to join IWWG and further enrich the organisation with their expertise and input.
